| A sub species of the brown bear, Grizzlies are native to North America. Although they're solitary animals, they congregate in fishing spots when Salmon run upstream for spawning. Grizzlies are omnivores - they eat berries, seeds, roots, leaves, fish, rodents deer and even insects. During the summer they will venture into urban areas, coming into conflict with humans. Females hibernate during winter, often giving birth to twins. Grizzlies are excellent swimmers, fast runners and even climb trees when young. |
