| The orca or killer whale is the deadliest predator in the seven seas. These highly intelligent mammals feast on fish, sea lions, sharks and whales with 13 pairs of interlocking teeth. Orca's adapt their attacks depending on their prey. They knock out great white sharks by charging them side on at high speed. When seals are perched on ice floes, Orcas swim in formation to generate a wave which washes over the ice floe, sinking it. This magnificent hunter is found in the coastal waters of the Pacific, Atlantic and Southern Ocean. |
