| A Tennis player that looked like a rock star, Borg was credited with brining a legion of new fans and sponsors to the sport. Borg was renowned for his incredible stamina, winning back to back French Open and Wimbledon titles three times. His 1980 five set Wimbledon final victory over John McEnroe is considered the greatest Tennis match ever played. Devastated after losing to McEnroe at both Wimbledon and the US Open finals the following year, he retired aged just 26. |
